Week 11 Stocks & Stories: Raiders trounce Cowboys, Fournette leads Bucs past Colts

Image
Another week is in the books and another week of fantasy football chaos has ensued. As most fantasy leagues enter their final stretch some of the most coveted running backs in the league are falling like flies. While these injuries are less than ideal, it does make for intrigue down the stretch. While some superstars are out, there's even more opportunity for some short-term investments. Las Vegas Raiders @ Dallas Cowboys     While the games on Thanksgiving were less than spectacular this game was far from a snooze fest. Coming into the game both teams were desperate for a win.   The Raiders entered on a losing streak and had to find a way to stop the bleeding. After failing to meet projections the last three weeks  Derek Carr  (6%, $6.96) found a way to lead his team to a much-needed win. While Carr didn’t wow us with a multiple touchdown performance, he did throw the rock almost 40 times and racked up ~400 yards through the air.   If you read the pregame report, you

With Thanksgiving now in the rearview mirror, and the weekend sadly coming to a close, we’re able to focus our attention on the main slate. With three teams having already played earlier this week, and two teams on bye this week, the slate feels light this week. The 1:00PM EST Slate Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Indianapolis Colts After Jonathan Taylor’s (48%, $14.70) impressive performance against the best-run defense, he draws another tough matchup against the Buccaneers. While Taylor was impressive last week it's unlikely we will see anything of a similar performance that we did a week ago. The Buffalo Bills were missing some key pieces to their run defense last week, and I'd expect the Colts to take advantage of their depleted secondary. The Colts have used Carson Wentz (-9%, $4.48) sparingly over the last couple of weeks, but we shouldn't forget that prior to the Jacksonville game he had beaten projections for three straight weeks. While his future appears to be tied to a

Thanksgiving is finally upon, the one holiday the NFL promises us football every year. Today’s games are not the greatest of the bunch but they offer plenty of intrigue as we head into the main slate this weekend. Before I want I get after it I wanted to acknowledge that I’m thankful to be part of your weekly readings and hope you’ve enjoyed the content as much as I have producing it. Have a great holiday and if you ever want to ask questions or talk football on Twitter I’m @dynastymad . The Appetizer Game Chicago Bears @ Detroit Lions This game offers little in terms of the playoff race and even less in the realm of fantasy. While D’andre Swift (8%, $7.35) is one of the best running backs in the game it’s fair to wonder if we’re witnessing his ceiling in this offense. With a lack of a supporting cast, he is being thrust into a role where he’s relied upon as the main contributor. The Lions are loaded up on draft picks over the next couple of years and while they’ll need help at sever

Week 10 Stocks and Stories: JT (+47%) keeps rolling, Hurts (+13%) and Eagles on the rise

It was a wild week in the NFL as we head into the holiday. In a week where 6 teams play on Thursday, it’s rather uninspiring to see all 6 of the teams come in with a loss. At the very least , at least 3 of the teams will be able to reverse their fortunes this week. Indianapolis Colts @ Buffalo Bills   As you might have suspected I’m going to start us off on the highlight of the weekend in Jonathan Taylor (+47%, $14.70). After a performance like we saw Sunday, it’s not a question in my mind we will be seeing Taylor at the top of Round 1 as we enter fantasy drafts next fall.   Taylor entered the day trailing Derrick Henry ($31.77) in yards on the season, and that all changed after getting a lion share of the carries, with 32 of them. Taylor was able to convert those carries into 185 yards on the ground and 5 touchdowns in all between his carries and receptions. While Taylor had an impressive day accounting for 55% of the offensive yardage and 100% of their touchdowns. The rest of the

Hello PredictionStrike family, and congratulations! You made it through another week, and what a week it has been. Rough week so far, especially if you are like me and bought Wayne Gallman (-21%, $0.28) before TNF… What was I thinking??? We live, and we learn. Good to remember, less is more, and sometimes the best investment is to simply skip the game. And trust me, I know it’s hard to pass up on Prime Time games. We do have some good news from Thursday’s game… Nick Folk (+20%, $1.59) keeps fighting the good fight for all us Kicker truthers. #KickersArePeopleToo (maybe some foreshadowing for later)… But first, I am honored to bring you another Insider Trading article, focused around one of the most highly anticipated games of the weekend. No, not Kansas City vs. Dallas , or even Indianapolis vs. Buffalo . Instead, we are going to the revenge games of all revenge games. WASHINGTON vs. CAROLINA . Not only do we have Cam (+.12%, $6.00) vs. the world, but we also have Ron Rivera, C

Week 11 is here and the playoff races are starting to heat up. Just about every fan base still feels like they’re in the thick of it. With the playoffs still in focus and attainable for over 20 teams, it makes investing in playmakers during that push even more enjoyable! The 1pm EST Slate Indianapolis Colts @ Buffalo Bills This is probably one of the more anticipated games of the week and for good reason. Jonathan Taylor (5%, $9.97) is coming into this game on a hot streak against probably the greatest defense in the league. While Taylor is getting elite usage and putting up numbers this feels like a game where an unstoppable force is meeting an immovable object. Jonathan Taylor is projected for just under 19 fantasy points against one of the best defenses in the league and I’d say that is a bit lofty. While Taylor has met or exceeded expectations over the last 6 games it’s difficult to see him doing that this week. While I’m wary of Taylor, I’m bullish on the short-term investment i

Week 10 Stocks and Stories: Deebo and JT trend up, Cam is BACK, Chiefs found their spark

Week 10 is now in the books, and I for one couldn't be happier. Not because the Bills scored a touchdown but with Week 10 in the books, it means we're one week closer to Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving never meant much growing up, but as you grow up it begins to mean much more. Nowadays it is all about going home for me that makes the holidays mean so much more. As much as I love going home for the holidays, I can only imagine what it meant to Cam (+1%, $5.99) to go home this past week. Carolina Panthers @ Arizona Cardinals Cam Newton was welcomed back to the squad by scoring on his first two plays of the game. The first was a powerful run by Newton that looked like vintage Cam Newton. The next was a strike to Robby Anderson (+23%, $1.65) who most considered irrelevant in this offense. Needless to say, the Panthers had their way with the Cardinals in this one. The Panthers are an interesting team to monitor as we enter the final 8 weeks. With Newton back, there's a chance the
